Due to the ongoing and repeated impact of forfeits, late cancellations, and unreliable attendance, a credit card on file system is now mandatory for all registered teams. These issues have become sufficiently widespread over time to cause significant disruption to fixtures, opposing teams, and competitive parity within the leagues, and can no longer be managed informally or under a more relaxed approach.
All teams are required to complete a $1 card verification via Square, which securely stores a card on file. The $1 payment is fully refunded and is used solely for the purpose of verifying card details. The card on file will only be charged in the event of a forfeit policy breach or failure to make payment on the night.
Our forfeit policy has been updated to align with standard benchmarks used by other local competitions. These updated policies replace previous, more relaxed approaches and will now be applied consistently across all teams.
